Veil of Silence Trailer from The Initiative for Equal Rights
Egale is proud to bring Veil of Silence, a short documentary that highlights the experiences of gay persons in Nigeria to Toronto at World Pride! The documentary also includes interviews from activists, lawyers, public health professional and focuses on the recent signed same sex marriage prohibition Act and its sexual health and human rights implications.
Olumide Femi Makanjuola, the Executive Director for The Initiative for Equal Rights, the local organization which produced the film will be present alongside the movie Director, Habeeb Babatunde Lawal, for a panel discussion which will follow the screening of the 35 minute documentary.
