⭐ Inclusion Imperative

The Inclusion Imperative

This extensive resource aims to provide 50-30 challenge participants with the guidance necessary to identify and remove barriers to equal employment opportunity; develop inclusion-informed human resource policies and practices; and increase the representation of qualifiable equity-denied candidates in senior executive roles.

The document is laid out in five parts:

  1. Equity Policy Guidelines
  2. Accessibility Policy Guidelines
  3. Human Rights and Anti-Harassment/Discrimination Policy Guidelines
  4. Talent Acquisition, Retention, and Advancement Policy Guidelines
  5. Benefits, Leave Entitlements, and Other Corresponding Policy Guidelines

The 50 – 30 Challenge was an initiative between the Government of Canada, Canadian businesses, and diversity organizations. The goal of the program was to challenge Canadian organizations to increase the representation and inclusion of diverse groups within their workplaces while highlighting the benefits of giving all Canadians a seat at the table. This program has been supported by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.
