We invite you to join us this May 23-25, 2018 in Toronto, for the launch of our annual national conference to bring together the many perspectives on the state of inclusion for our community and chart a path forward together.

For more than thirty years, Egale has been working to improve the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, and Two Spirit (LGBTQI2S) individuals nationwide. Today, we are Canada’s only national charity that seeks to improve the lives of LGBTQI2S people by informing public policy, inspiring cultural change, and promoting equal rights and inclusion through research, education, and community engagement.

Because of our longstanding pursuit of equality and inclusion, the theme of the IDENTITY Conference is Canadian Perspectives on LGBTQI2S Inclusion. In addition to featuring panel discussions on Philanthropy, Activism and the Global Context, the conference workshops will include a range of topics that cover current and relevant areas of LGBTQI2S life in Canada.

Conference Topics Areas include:
• Safer Schools and Campuses
• Health Equity and Wellness
• Housing and Homelessness
• Sports Inclusion and Recreation
• Employment and Workplace Inclusion
• Faith
• Legal and Justice

Our invitation-only pre-conference on May 22 will focus on two topic areas:
• Intersex
• Disability

If you would like to apply to present on any of these topic areas, please submit an application through the link on the upper right-hand side of this page. The deadline to submit is January 31, 2018.
