Egale Canada’s Director of Legal Bennett Jensen spoke to the Standing Committee on the Status of Women on Hate Motivated Violence Targeting the 2SLGBTQI+ Community. Bennett discussed what it would mean for trans and gender diverse youth to live in a country where their difference is welcomed instead of being victims of extensive misinformation and targeting, with much of it coming from political leaders in recent years, leading to devasting consequences.
