This report, Equal Protection and Equal Benefit, was commissioned by the LGBT Purge Fund to compliment the monumental progress that has been made, as well as to take stock of the current landscape of 2SLGBTQI rights in Canada. This report will examine those laws, constructs, and processes which systematically disadvantage 2SLGBTQI people, with careful attention paid to those marginalized across different axes of oppression.

Further, this report will pose recommendations for systemic reform within the Canadian legal landscape to attain the equitable treatment of 2SLGBTQI people and communities.
