January 30, 2025 – Egale writes this submission to ensure that the OAS is aware of the ongoing violence perpetrated towards sex workers in Canada, particularly Indigenous, racialized, and 2SLGBTQI individuals. This submission highlights the harm cause to sex workers by the criminalization of sex work and calls for a decriminalized approach that is decolonial and targets homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and racism towards sex workers.
