"My work in colour field painting combined with my background in graphic design have given me a sense of stylized, at times narrative based images and overall textural pieces. My love of palm trees and sky images (eg moon, stars, sun) represent in my sections of the mural the coming together of different vistas, overlapping and integrating with each other. The deer silhouette comes from my recent series, both abstract and representational, entitled 'In the headlights - symbolizing a single image in a diverse field of hue and texture as a struggle for positive existence in the face of varied challenges."
