Quebec Region (President)
Robert Leckey is associate professor and William Dawson Scholar in the Faculty of Law, McGill University. A member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, he teaches and researches in constitutional law and family law. He has been a member of Egale Canada’s Legal Issues Committee since 2004 and its chair since 2011. He joined its board of directors in 2011 and has served as its president since then.

Benjie Nycum is the CEO of Nycum & Associates, a healthcare architecture firm based in Halifax Nova Scotia.
Ontario Region (Secretary)
Peter Bernier grew up in Cape Breton and moved to Toronto in 1986. Has been active in the LGBT community in Toronto. Currently Coordinator of LEGIT-Toronto, Experience Pride Canada and Rainbow Link, as well as director of Egale Canada and ICCRC. Consultant at and owner of Immigration Link. Recently was honoured by the naming of a new collection at the Cape Breton University Library: The Bernier LGBT Collection.
British Columbia Region
Samuel Singer B.C.L./LL.B., LL.M. is a lawyer licensed in both Ontario and Québec who specializes in tax law. He received his Masters of Law degree from McGill University. Previously, Samuel was the Legal Information Coordinator at the Centre for Community Organizations, where he provided legal information to non-profit and charitable organizations. Samuel also has extensive experience in the trans advocacy field, including several years coordinating a trans health project in Montréal, Québec.
Joyce Tam is a Toronto-based lawyer practicing at Thomas Gold Pettingill LLP, a firm that specializes in complex insurance and commercial litigation. In addition to law, Joyce is interested in digital media, technology, theatre, literature, and design.
