In Canada, 15% of police-reported hate crimes that are cybercrimes target the 2SLGBTQI community (Armstrong, 2019).

Inspired by a particularly poignant hate comment we received on our social media:

Tweet by @im_a_bully "How about you take your ridiculous alphabet soup and leave"

Egale is snatching the spoon and taking the power out of anti-2SLGBTQI cyberbullies by stirring in some humour and encouraging dialogue around these shared experiences of cyberbullying and online harassment. As a national 2SLGBTQI organization, we also receive this harassment too frequently. We want our youth communities to know that they are not alone, it does not go unnoticed, and our collective alphabet soup will always be delicious.
