
King Charles III Coronation Medal Nominations
Recognizing individuals who have made a significant contribution to Canada
To mark the occasion of the coronation of King Charles III on May 6, 2023, the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General will honour individuals who have made a significant contribution to Canada and/or to their communities with a commemorative medal.
Egale Canada is one of the partner organizations selected by the Government of Canada to nominate individuals to receive the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
We invite you to suggest eligible candidates for Egale’s nominations. Egale will review the suggestions and officially nominate individuals who qualify to the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General.
You can use the form below to suggest candidates for Egale’s nominations. We are looking for individuals who either:
- Are Two Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and/or intersex (2SLGBTQI) and have made notable contributions to any field or community, or who have shown extraordinary dedication to their communities, or
- Are not 2SLGBTQI themselves, but who have made significant contributions to improving the lives of 2SLGBTQI people.
DEADLINE: Egale Canada will be accepting nominations until September 30, 2024
