This Exciting Opportunity…

The Junior Instructional Designer is vital to the learning team to ensure our learning modules and materials are precise, engaging and aligned with learning objectives

  • Work closely with the learning and research teams in developing customizable and targeted learning materials for various audiences
  • Ensure all learning materials are up to date, plan and execute learning materials release schedules
  • Liaise with associates in learning team throughout the design and development process for content validation
  • Conduct needs analysis and post-training evaluations and produce analysis for the program effectiveness
  • Facilitate internal and external discussions in determining clients’ needs and program execution
  • Ensure all training materials are clear, concise, consistent and instructionally sound to the targeted audience
  • Incorporate various learning principles ensuring content flow and engagement
  • And other duties, as directed, for the delivery of the department’s strategic priorities and/or to meet key deadlines.

We’re Passionate About Finding Someone Who…

  • Completion of post secondary degree or diploma in education, adult learning, communications, and or related fields
  • 2-4 years of related experience in e-learning development, instructional design, and/or learning program development
  • Graphic design, knowledge and maintenance of LMS, including content creation are considered strong assets
  • Experience with adult learning and instructional design principles
  • Willingness to work with flexibility, including working alternative hours, changing priorities, some travel may be required
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a busy environment, to work well under pressure, and to prioritize tasks appropriately while meeting time-sensitive demands.
  • Strong communicator and great team player with the ability to influence and apply learning principles in the curriculum
  • Bilingual (English/French) is a definite asset
  • Brings a strong understanding of intersectionality and Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppression practices
  • Has experience working in a not-for-profit, LGBTQI2S community and/or social justice environment
  • Has knowledge / lived experience with the diverse experiences and identities of LGBTQI2S communities
