We are looking for number of facilitators to join our growing and evolving learning team

Egale services a diverse portfolio of clients with various exposure and understanding of Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppression frameworks, intersectionality, human rights issues facing the LGBTQI2S communities through education and discussions by raising awareness.  Our clients include school boards, academic institutions, municipality, private corporations in financial, performing arts, entertainment, with audience of different social categories, such as ages, gender identity, race, class, and ability.

Depending on your experience level and availability, you will be the primary facilitator and/or co-facilitator in delivering workshops and presentations in promoting equity and inclusion in various spaces.

The ideal facilitator…

  • Post secondary education in education, adult education, communications, social work and/or relevant field
  • Must have minimum of 2 years of facilitation experience in various settings and formats, i.e. group facilitation, public speaking, SME trainers, e-learning facilitator, etc.
  • Familiarity with the LGBTQI2S community and LGBTQI2S human rights more generally
  • Must have the ability to navigate and adapt to learning space and audience dynamics
  • Ability to discuss and present complex, difficult and controversial topics and respond to diverse audience groups
  • Ideal to have previous experience in conducting audience needs assessment, curriculum/content building and demonstrated ability to understand the client needs and fine-tuning the learning content and styles to suit needs
  • An exceptional facilitator and also works well in team settings
  • Skilled in adaptive learning that breaks traditional models which facilitates and fosters autonomy learning
  • Proficient in using different learning strategies and medium, such as, Virtual Learning, Social Media, blogs, video conferences, etc. and proficient with computers and software applications
  • Flexibility in availability and mobility is highly preferred
  • Fluency in French both written and verbal is considered a strong asset, and/or ability to speak and write in a second language
  • A valid G driver license is considered a strong asset
  • Resident of Ontario
