Workplace Inclusion for Gender and Sexual Diversity
BOOK A SESSION TODAY
An introduction to LGBTQI2S identities and common workplace inclusion practices.
This informational presentation introduces participants to the diverse identities and experiences of LGBTQI2S people. Participants are encouraged to think critically about workplace norms and practices that contribute to an unwelcoming atmosphere for LGBTQI2S people. Throughout the training, participants gain awareness of the critical importance of fostering safer and more inclusive work spaces, and will leave with tangible tools and tips on how to be more affirming and supportive in their interactions with LGBTQI2S colleagues and clients.
Building on the one-hour presentation, this engaging workshop delves into the business impacts of workplace inclusion.
This workshop engages participants to consider the complex ways in which gender, attraction, and identity impact their own lives and careers, and how these same factors can impact the experiences of their LGBTQI2S peers. Participants will also explore the ways in which bias and social norms can undermine an organization’s equity efforts and maintain a discriminatory working atmosphere. Participants will leave with new tools they can apply right away to help ensure their teams and work place are safer and more inclusive.
With the HRPA seal of approval, this workshop goes above and beyond to provide your team with the skills they need to build a truly inclusive workplace.
This half-day workshop builds participants’ understanding and communication skills related to the diverse identities and experiences of LGBTQI2S individuals. This lively and interactive session uses case studies, group work, and discussions to help participants develop an appreciation for the various ways in which social norms and dynamics can impact LGBTQI2S and other minoritized individuals in the workplace. By adopting an organizational lens, participants will learn the various structures, skills and behaviours that can help make their workplace safer, more welcoming, and more inclusive for LGBTQI2S people. By the end of this workshop, participants will be equipped with new tools, strategies, and a personal plan for acting in allyship with LGBTQI2S people in their workplaces and communities.
