Indigenization provides a useful framework and opportunity to re-envision your organization through a lens of Indigenous sovereignty and knowledge.

This workbook acts as a guide and a catalyst for change within 2SLGBTQI community serving organizations seeking to embrace Indigenization. It aims to:

  1. Empower 2SLGBTQI organizations and collectives to integrate
Indigenization practices into every level of their structure and
    operations.
  2. Provide non-Indigenous individuals in 2SLGBTQI community serving organizations with a clearer understanding of key concepts and teachings and boost their confidence in engaging with Indigenization practices.
  3. Support 2SLGBTQI community serving organizations in fostering
culturally responsive, safer, and inclusive spaces for Two Spirit and Indigiqueer service users and staff.

The Building Bridges project works to increase the understanding of anti-racism, Indigenization and faith in Canada from a 2SLGBTQI context to foster dialogue between historically diverse groups and 2SLGBTQI serving organizations to work toward the elimination of racism, prejudice and discrimination in Canada.
